1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, accepting these Terms in the app, or using Ocean, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.
Ocean is published by DuoBox 47 (Thailand) x Plancy Asia Co.,Ltd (Myanmar). References to Ocean, we, us, or our mean the Ocean service and its responsible publisher or operator, as applicable.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter a binding agreement, and legally permitted to use a dating service where you live. Ocean is not intended for minors.
- You must not be prohibited from using Ocean by law or a prior account restriction.
- You must not be required to register as a sex offender in any jurisdiction.
- You may maintain only authentic accounts that represent you.
3. Your account and authentication
You are responsible for accurate registration details, protecting your device and credentials, and activity performed through your account. Ocean may support email and password, Google, or mobile-number authentication depending on platform and configuration.
Tell us promptly if you believe your account or authentication method has been compromised. Never share passwords or one-time verification codes with another person.
4. Profiles and member content
You may provide a name, date of birth, gender, location, interests, profile image, gallery images, and other profile information. You retain ownership of content you submit.
You grant Ocean a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, display, and transmit that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the service. This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to legal retention, backups, and content already shared with other users.
- Use current photos of yourself and do not impersonate another person.
- Do not upload content you lack the right or consent to use.
- Do not publish private contact, financial, identity, or location data that could create unnecessary risk.
5. Discovery, location, and matching
Ocean may use profile information, coarse location, optional precise location, preferences, distance, activity, and prior interactions to show or rank profiles. Precise location is used only where you provide the required permission or consent.
A like, recommendation, match, distance, activity indicator, or compatibility signal is not a verification, endorsement, guarantee, or promise of identity, availability, intent, safety, or compatibility. Location and presence indicators may be approximate, delayed, or unavailable.
6. Matches and messages
Messaging is available when the product's matching rules permit it. Messages may include timestamps, delivery or read state, reactions, and presence information. Product limits may restrict daily discovery actions or messages.
Recipients may retain, copy, or disclose content you send. Do not send content you would not want another person to keep. Blocking or leaving a conversation limits future interaction in Ocean but cannot erase copies held outside our systems.
7. Acceptable conduct
Treat other people with dignity and use Ocean only for lawful personal dating and social connection. You must not misuse the service or help another person do so.
- No harassment, stalking, threats, hate, bullying, coercion, or non-consensual sexual content.
- No exploitation of minors, grooming, trafficking, or content involving anyone under 18.
- No impersonation, deceptive identity, romance scam, fraud, solicitation, spam, or undisclosed commercial promotion.
- No malware, scraping, automated accounts, reverse engineering, security testing without permission, or attempts to bypass quotas or access controls.
- No unlawful goods, weapons, controlled substances, or instructions that facilitate serious harm.
- No publication of another person's private information or intimate content without explicit permission.
8. Safety and offline meetings
Ocean does not conduct a comprehensive identity or criminal-background check on every user and cannot control member conduct. Use judgment, keep early communication in the app, protect financial and identity information, and tell someone you trust before meeting.
Meet in a public place, arrange your own transportation, stay aware of food and drinks, and leave if you feel unsafe. Contact local emergency services if there is immediate danger.
9. Moderation, reports, and enforcement
Ocean may investigate reports and use automated or manual signals to prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations. Where permitted by law, we may remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, and cooperate with lawful requests.
We are not required to monitor every profile, image, or message and cannot guarantee that moderation will identify every violation.
10. Quotas, advertising, and paid features
Ocean may provide free limits, rewarded advertising, subscriptions, or other paid features. Availability, quotas, and prices may vary by platform, location, account status, or product version.
Purchases made through Apple or Google are also governed by the store's payment and refund terms. Unless law requires otherwise, a purchase does not guarantee matches, replies, visibility, or a relationship.
11. Third-party services
Ocean relies on service providers for account access, hosting, data handling, maps or location tools, notifications, analytics, payments, and advertising. Their services may be governed by separate terms and may experience interruptions outside our control.
12. Intellectual property
Ocean's software, brand, visual design, text, and service content are owned by or licensed to Ocean and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service as provided; they do not transfer ownership.
13. Service changes and availability
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features to improve the product, address risk, comply with law, or operate the service. Testing releases may contain defects or change without notice. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available service.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ocean is provided as is and as available. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing.
We do not warrant the identity, statements, intentions, conduct, compatibility, or safety of any user, or the outcome of any online or offline interaction. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ocean and its personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of opportunity, or harm arising from another user's conduct. Any limitation applies only to the extent allowed by applicable law.
16. Ending your use
You may stop using Ocean at any time. While signed in, open Edit Profile and select Delete Account to permanently delete your account. If you cannot access the app, use the Account Deletion page to submit a verified request. We may suspend or end access when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, security, non-payment, prolonged inactivity, or a breach of these Terms.
Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions, remain effective.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of Myanmar, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing a formal claim, contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the concern informally.
18. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as Ocean changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
